The odds of this seem to high for it to be normal. What was most odd of the most recent failure was the fact that restarting the box via the menu option caused the issue to appear. well i just unplugged the power from the drive, without hooking it up to a tv, as i have it here at work at the moment. but still the same cursed green blinking light. If you try to run a TiVo without the power connected to the hard drive that alone can blow the power supply (TiVo uses a switching power supply which depends on some load to work)
