2006 chevy trailblazer ac vents not working.

May 21, 2007 · Same thing happened here. Everything was working fine until I replaced the battery. After that the air only blew from the defrost and floor vents. I disconnected the battery (no help), tried the hvac reset (no help), I finally had to replace the mode actuator. Seems like this is a cronic problem for GM, like everything else. Use your socket, ratchet and extension to unbolt the blower motor. Unplug the wiring harness from the blower motor and pull the blower motor down and out. Insert the blower motor up into place. Plug in the wiring harness. Bolt into place with your 7 mm socket and ratchet. We got it home, everything was fine, and then the battery went dead. The next day we went and got battery, and about 2 hours after we replaced it, the panel vents quit working, but the floor and defrost still worked. Here is how to test the actuator: 12 volts in run on the Brown wire, 5 volts on the Light Blue and Black, Ground on the Yellow wire.
