1bdvet. 890 posts · Joined 2015. #4 · Jan 6, 2017. Yesterday at the range, a member brought his new Mark IV Hunter, and looking at my Mark III Hunter, only difference I saw was tear down. I tear down the Mark III, after shooting for cleaning, and use it every week, and found it tears down easier, and just falls into place on installations.
Sent it back to S&W and has shot perfectly ever since. (Repair took 5 weeks) Still was wanting the traditional style Ruger lower, so got the Mark IV Target. So out of those, here's my order of preference. Victory - Because I shoot the most accurate with it. Has the least FTE issues (after being repaired). Bone stock it was noticeably more accurate than the Browning, and the sights are excellent. If I was shopping for a .22 pistola today the S+W would be my choice.Mark IV™.
