Picked up a used 2020 bighorn with 30k miles about a month ago and about 2 weeks ago starting having an intermittent problem where after I start the truck some times it has problems shifting out of park. You have to wiggle the gear selector back and forth some times up to 20 seconds to get it to finally shift.My beef with the rotary shifter has been lack of manual shifting functionality, however, according to Consumer Reports, our shifter is not as safe as traditional shifters and results in lower CR ratings for the RAM 1500 as well as other FCA vehicles. Mine were not tightend to spec. Tech put on a scanner, with in 1 hour had the issue solved and tightend the eyelets to the ground bolt.

Apr 12, 2020 · The pin is not coder, and sometimes works itself free, gear selector shift linkage gets stuck usually in reverse. Find the pin as well, you dont want that rolling around your tranny. There might be two pins, the roller and the pin that failed. Make it coder when you put it back, wont happen again.

I stayed away from this Knob shifter. I wanted either a column Shifter or a console shifter so I was looking at 2012 and 2013s with low mileage when I looked to upgrade to a 4x4.
