The JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute offers a one-year ACGME accredited multidisciplinary fellowship opportunity in Pain Medicine based out of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. The goal of our fellowship is to train future leaders in pain medicine with an emphasis on comprehensive and multidisciplinary approaches to pain.The course utilizes the best-selling textbook, “Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Board Review” edited by Sara Cuccurullo, M.D., the Chair, Vice President and Medical Director at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute for over 25 years. Many of the chapter authors are accomplished attendings serving as faculty. We are the Department of PM&R for both Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Our three-year program begins at the PGY-2 level. The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation defines guidelines for appropriate PGY-1 training in preparation for entering a PM&R residency program. The inpatient rehabilitation program consists of three units, located on the first and third floors of JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute.
