Actually there are two valid points why one would want to re-roll a Derelict Freighter: Class S upgrades quality: It is true that a Class S upgrade will always give Class S, but for the most important, i.e. warp LY and fuel efficiency, come with two additional stats and it's unlikely to find both of the same maxed out (hence wanting to re-roll)
