I've read the reviews and general specs of each as well as the changes made to the DSM to create the Little Sister. I'd likely be buying used, and from what I've seen they're within $150 to $200 of each other.

Bias drift issue is heat related, older the amp the more heat it endures results in the bias circuit part of the board becoming conductive. 4 power tubes create more heat than 2 [50] but 50 watt amps can be affected. DSL's are great amps but many are more than 2 decades+ old now. Not a fan of the Vietnam amps.

The new ones sounded just like the old ones. I prefer the odr-s as it has more control over the sound, particularly the low end which can be a bit thumpy on the odr-1.
