2726 posts · Joined 2015. #10 · May 6, 2019. Same as passenger side. Roll partway down. Roll up and hold switch up for a few seconds. It's less noticeable on the driver's window because the only switch still works for manual up and down, just not automatic up and down. 2015 Outback 2.5i Premium.

Then release. And I think then its done. If not, its vice versa. No idea about the passenger window not working. Nov 24, 2023 · The rear windows work from the driver's seat and the front passenger window works from the passenger seat but the driver's window and the passenger window do not work at all from the driver's seat. I tried the window reset process several times with no luck (the battery had been disconnected recently). The window controller needs to be reset. Easy peasy! Turn the ignition on, no need to start the engine. Roll the driver's window halfway down. Pull the driver's window switch up and continue holding it up for a few seconds after it's fully closed. Repeat for the passenger window from the passenger's seat. Done!

I replaced the battery, and now the passenger window is no longer operable from the driver side control. Also, the "auto down" feature is not working from the passenger side; i.e. you have to hold the passenger side button down to make the window work.

sounds like something in the switch circuit. If the motor works by giving it 12v separately (both ways up and down), then it is a switch/wiring problem. It might be worth taking a vacuum (especially the main driver unit) and disinfecting wipe to all the switches. Run the windows through each cycle completely.
