I have replaced it with the NDZ 1911 take down tool and it will help eliminate the chance of an "idiot scratch"... I purchased two different sizes..The first thing I did to all of mine was to replace the plastic MSH. I went with a 2 piece flat Stainless mag-well type. the I changed out the thumb safety with a Stainless Ed Brown ambi.
