Neither the fob nor the power lock switches will lock/unlock the driver's side sliding door. You can lock/unlock it manually and it does engage the locking mechanism and works like "normal". 2.
I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey (EX-L). For some reason, the Key fob is no longer opening the Power Sliding doors (on both sides). We only have 1 set of key fob, as the other went missing. The Lock/Unlock stills works and shows a red light when pressed. The buttons for the Power doors also shows up red when pressed, but nothing happens.
It even gives me the 3 beeps when I push the close button, when the door is already closed. The driver side does not mimic this behavior.
