78 Ford 6600 Ignition switch. Hi all. Adding a Ford 6600 (diesel) to our Ford 861. Operator's manual on 6600 shows all 6600s have a four position ignition switch. From the straight up position of the key, which is Off, the two positions to the right (clockwise) are On and Start. The two CCW positions are Heat and Heat-Start.The 6000 I have has been a very good tractor. Yes the pump was juiced up, and it does have a nicer seat than the factory. I did install hydrostatic steering, but over all it is one stronger puller. Comfortable to drive and very quiet.
