Have some nice expansion ore patches and oil (purple dots) not very far away. Max out the moisture bias. This will make the entire world greener and reduce pollution spread. Either disable biter expansion, turn off pollution or disable biters entirely. Default settings are fine for a beginner.

I sincerely don't have a favorite seed, and I'm confident there is no absolute best seed. But you might enjoy this one . Go for efficiency modules and dump efficiency 1 modules into each of your miners and pumpjacks. That will cut your pollution way down so you don't draw as many enemies and they will evolve slower.
