Making exotics farmable from Lost Sectors is a great idea. Locking them behind solo farming high difficulty lost sectors forever is not. Lost sectors are targeted. You can still get all those exotics (once unlocked) from any other exotics sources (Nightfalls, Xur, season pass, and Primes that crit exotics).

About Lost Sectors, RNG can be a real bitch. Like I said, new drops are weighted, but not guaranteed. Vex Strike Force seems to have much better weighting for rewarding new exotics (can get a pre-owned one too, but the chance is VERY low). I was going for the Necrotic Grip last night doing the Legend Lost Sector. My engram inventory was full. I got three different exotic engrams that went to the postmaster but when I decrypted them they were boots instead of arms. Either fix it so that the more difficult master lost sectors actually "commonly" drop exotics or change the description to say RARE.
