Sneak attack is oddly implemented imo. In tabletop its a resource you can use once per round on a got where you have advantage/threatened (using larians term). I'm bg3 its an active skill, which means you get one shot to miss your once per round dmg. This impacts dual wielding as its normally used as way to get a second chance to hit.

Sneak attack damage roll: 4 (1d6 piercing) + (4 x (LEVEL) - 1) / 2 + 1 = 8. This is basically saying 1d6 rolled a 4, then the change is a random ass formula that didn't need to exist providing 4 extra damage. No clue where the numbers come from. Edit: actually, I'm reading the formula wrong.
