Honestly, all he probably needed to not make this into a bigger L was a response that showed genuine humility and remorse for what happened. Instead, he gave a response that, knowing what we do now about the Billet situation, is misleading at best, and a lie for damage control at worst. Yeah, but he CAN set Linus on the right path. He is REALLY good at spotting Linus putting his foot in his mouth and can give him the correct perspective by the end of the segment. I don't watch Gamers Nexus, but I wouldn't stop watching them just because they posted a video about their testing equipment. I do however thing that in the case of Linus he comes across as someone trying to compensate. The reasons why are more nuanced than just "post video = bad. Not post video = good".
