How to reset oil alarm on suzuki outboard.
Not 100% sure on the early models, but the later "A" models, the oil drain is on the starboard side of the upper leg, it is a round alloy looking thing with a hex centre to fit an Allen Key into. Thanks for the attention, I found it-- on the port (left) side towards the front. Attached is a picture for future newbies.
The service light came on and the oil is fine. I understand that I need an oil change but there is a single beep going off. I have tried the "reset" procedure and it did not work. The 1-5 beep is the code for the exhaust manifold temp sensor. That means 1 of 2 things. 1. It means the exhaust manifold is running to run, and the alarm is warning you of that. 2. The tell tale sign is an oily slick on the water in the prop wash, and the oil has put a film over the sensor, you won't see oil leaking externaly it is leaking ...The alarm is a long buzzer sound and a red light come on at the motor (consol control). When the alarm start, the engine protect itself by dropping the rpm and runs lok at low rpm.
