Not only does it have 3-4x the battery life, it has more brightness settings, and much more linear brightness adjustments. As you say, the ROMEO1 kind of goes from dim to bright in 1 sudden level change. The PRO has nice even adjustment levels. Maybe SIG will offer a 226 slide with 1PRO on it, like they did with the old caliber x-change kits.
