Found that the gray wire on the ignition switch only had 1 volt on it. Took the ignition switch apart and found resistor had broken and appeared to be making intermittent contact.Im a new rider and I have this 2002 kawasaki vulcan nomad 1500 and it had a problem getting up to 80mph. IMHO I would go for the 1500 as they have more power, torque, and get pretty close to the same mileage with the 900 having a slightly bigger tank.
