15 posts · Joined 2013. #1 · Dec 14, 2017. I need some help here! I just bought a new quick-tach 47 - 2 stage snow blower after my old 47 - 2 stage blower gave up. New blower was $2100.00+. My issue is that the old blower would blow snow 30-40 feet when light and fluffy. The new one will only blow it approx 10-15 feet.

Dec 11, 2011 · Pull the shear pins individually and check out if it is in the auger or the blower, or the drive line. Might remove the shields and run (carefully) while observing the chain drives. May be missing something there. Check if the PTO is connected and not on all the way. And if brand new, visit the Deere dealer.
After comparing upstops, probably could have used the 332 upstop, but needed the driveshaft, so cost probably would have been close. Thinking part of purpose of upstop is just to hook and store the driveshaft. For some reason on my john deere 47 snowblower the big sprocket on blower keeps falling off. I tighten the two set screws but it still manages to fall off. Has anybody else had this problem. Any ideal how to keep it from falling off.
