When I shut-off the engine then re-start it, blinking D and check engine light went away. Now, when car is in DRIVE, transmission shifting is sluggish and sometimes there is thud sound when shifting at 20~30km/hr.

Driving into work this morning I got a flashing D drive on the instrument cluster, stopped and checked the owners manual and it says it could indicate a possible transmission problem.
