Glock is tried and true, you can't go wrong with them. XD is a bit more recent but it seems equally as good. I personally, don't like the XD. Grip safety was uncomfortable, and in my hand the weight was unbalanced. Glock take down can be done in literally 2 seconds, XD is about 10.
