While not FRFR, the power amp in works great with modelers. Unless you really need the sound of a closed back cab, the speaker in the Catalyst is pretty neutral and should work for most amp models.It's a fine playing and sounding SG, more bright sounding than the Gibson, and a slimmer neck width and profile. The stock 8'' speaker sounds fine, but it inevitably sounds quite small. Epi's seem to have generous length with their 'Grub' screws, or the small allen head adjustment screws in the bridge. Mine are recessed inward with no screw threads exposed. Basically smaller length screws. You can get shorter metric allen set screws at a hardware store.
