If you banish the troupe the carefree melody will take grimmchild's place. It isn't possible to have both in one save file without mods or hacks. Regardless you need only 1 of the 2 to get 112%. Personally i recommend grimmchild not only for lore Reason but also because carefree melody is a contender for most useless charm in the game.

Go back to where you found the og lantern and talk to the guy, I'm pretty sure you can fight him in hall of gods but idk if it will give max grimmchild. You can fight in HOG but you dont get the maximum grimmchild charm (you lose it, but you get another charm to replace it when talking to the musical dude next to elder bug after banishing Grimm)
