The Big Air Carb's are way out of my price range. $1,200.00 plus. I believe the $1200 carb you saw is for a Harley. Dirtbike are more in the $600 range.Posted October 3, 2017. Anyone know anything about the Lectron carbs. Considering putting one on my DRZ 400 SM. 2020. Possible easier then resetting carb for different elevations. I've checked with a couple of their listed dealers and they didn’t have much info. One didn’t even know he was a dealer. Scary!!The Lectron has been around a long time but until recently the owner was into drag racing and so the carb performed very well in that venue. The carbs have been used by a few very high level off road guys in events such as the ISDE as far back as 20 years ago. They are $300 and available and very easy to tune and don't need fiddling.

Install the carb as sent and fire it up. Get it fully warmed up and cleared out. Evaluate how it runs. You should be about 1-1.5 turns out on the idle adjustment and it should start and idle fine. If it needs more then 1.5 turns out to maintain a good idle the rod is set to rich, if it idles high it is to lean.

The differences (inaccuracies) are not specific to the DRZ400 Mikuni 36mm BSR carb. What I point out as inaccurate applies to all CV carbs. I understand the example is not intended to exactly represent the DRZ carb. The example correctly represents the general layout of a generic CV carb with some simplification.
